Changing DOB issues

Go to the top right corner, click on your avatar

click on my microsoft account

will open a tab written my personal information

Click, and go to the date of birth

Change to 18+

Just know that while you can change the date of birth that is shown on a Microsoft account, Xbox will always use the birthdate that was entered during account creation. It cannot be changed.

To add to what Smwutches said.

When you changed your DOB was the DOB that you changed still considered under 18?

If so then you are still considered a child till that DOB reaches the age of 18.

When a DOB is entered into an account when it is setup that is the DOB that is tied to the Xbox profile and there is no way to change it in the Xbox profile part of things.

They don't let the account holders change their DOBs as this would allow the children to change their DOB on their account and subvert any age restrictions their parents may have set up with Parental Controls.

In normal life, you tend not to change your DOB.

You can change the DOB on www.live.com under Profile, not sure if this will change the Xbox DOB or not though, might be worth a try?
