how to speed up your download speed on your xbox one

I thought this would be gone by now.

    1. Changing your DNS can improve your download speed but it is not simply because you changed DNS. What happens is if your ISP DNS is bad it can resolve you to node that is not well suited for what you are trying to do. If your ISP DNS is not good this can improve your download speeds.
    2. As it is more likely you hit the Xbox live download cap vs Dns issues. Depending on load the Xbox live server can limit your download speed.
    3. As Indie stated there is a chance that you had ERA's(exclusive resource apps) running and that will limit your download speed.
    4. Changing your DNS to google or Open DNS opens you up to information collection by google for selling to ad companies. At 1 point Cloud fare was offering free dns with a privacy policy.

mortal kombat x update is taking 3 hours and 57 mins

could try the DNS trick, sometimes your default DNS addresses (that are provided by your ISP) do not contain the shortest route to the Xbox Live servers, so sometimes changing to like the Google DNS, or OpenDNS, can speed up the download time.

but under the network settings, you can change the X1's DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS), give that a shot.

    Teredo error

Let´s try to change the DNS manually

    Settings >System > Network > Advanced settings > DNS Settings >Manual

    Change it for 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4

Change Your Network DNS. most DNS's are blocked by xbox for no reason. try some New free DNS and see which one is working.

Latency on my Xbox Series S stands between 160 to 270ms

There are a few things you can try to reduce the latency on your Xbox Series S:

Check your internet connection: Make sure your internet connection is stable and fast enough for online gaming. You can check the speed and stability of your connection by visiting a speed test website.

Restart your Xbox Series S and modem/router: Sometimes, restarting your devices can help resolve connectivity issues.

Change your DNS server: You can try changing the DNS server on your Xbox Series S to a more reliable one. Some popular public DNS servers include Google DNS (8.8.8.8) and Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1).

Disable network throttling: Some internet service providers (ISPs) may throttle your bandwidth when using online gaming services. You can contact your ISP to see if they are doing this and ask them to remove the throttling.

Use a wired connection: If you're using a wireless connection, try connecting your Xbox Series S to your router with an Ethernet cable. This can help improve stability and reduce latency.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Xbox support for further assistance.
