Changing aliases has locked me out of my Xbox Game Pass PC account

I have recently added the outlook.com version of my email to my aliases and made that my primary alias (my old email was a hotmail account) This has not been a problem for anything else Microsoft related except for my Game Pass for PC. I know it is in beta
so i'm sure these are the types of problems that are bound to exist.

When I login through the Windows 10 app, it logs in all the way to the screen with the profile photo and says "Let's Go" or whatever. Once I click lets go that box leaves the screen and I am not signed in. I can then do the whole process over and over and
it never stays logged in. I changed the alias back to hotmail and it worked then changed it to outlook.com again and now it does not work so I know this is the issue. But now I am locked out of changing the alias back because of Microsoft's arbitrary limit
to how frequently you can change your primary alias with a random time of "try again next week" Soooo now I am locked out of my game pass until i can change this back to Hotmail, which I don't really want to do.

Hopefully you have a fix for this soon, or know a way to make this work.

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with changing alias on a Microsoft Account.

When changing the alias on the account it has to be a new email or a 3rd party email. You will receive an error is you are trying to use an active Microsoft email, for example: hotmail.com, outlook.com.

I recommend reviewing the following article: Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account

A new email address. Select Create a new email address and add it as an alias, and then follow the instructions.

A non-Microsoft email address (such as an @gmail.com or
@yahoo.com email address). Select Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias, and then select Add alias.

Has anyone tried changing password to account? Are you able to login on microsoft.com?? What happened when account was locked? Did you enter in password and it was instantly locked? was it tried a couple times then locked?

Before i got locked out, i recieved a text message that my account has been compromised so i should log in to change my password which i did. Mind you, i did this on a pc not from my phone. After that, i made a purchase on skype to make calls. Skype kept
on logging me out then the next morning i got a notification that ive been locked out of my account for some privacy violation i have no idea what that is.

For starters , you could never buy gold with MSP/Xbox currency. For the "[Mod Removed]" stuff , that was most likely automated , as im sure those were swears you posted , and those get removed easily by it. If it is not a Microsoft associated email , then
you will need to get in contact with whoever your email is registered too , most sites have a "Forgot your password?" button that will allow you to answer a security question or contact your backup email for a security code. If you call support and have your
email and password to your Microsoft account ready , you can get them to change your account information for you , unless your lock - out was in regards to a fraudulent or another act that violated the TOS.
