    Changing a family member from a member to an organizer.


    I have my child on the family account. Now she turned 18. Are they supposed to change from member to organizer or how do we make the parental controls go off her account. I don’t want to remove her as a family member and re-add her she thinks she will lose all her progress on the Xbox. How do I change her from a member to an organizer?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    You need to manually change it by removing and re-adding her. No worries because her progress is sync to her account and it will not be removed unless we manually deleted them.

    I believe there should be at least one organizer so once you add or change an existing account from member to organizer using the current admin account, you should be able to make the changes:

    I have the same question but in reverse. All of our Microsoft Family members are currently "Organizers" and I would like to change some of them to "Members" but I can't find a way to change it from current roles. The only option I'm able to click is
    'remove from family group'

    I have tried with both Firefox and Edge. Same result.

    I changed my status in the family from Organizer to Member, and this allowed me to change my settings using the Xbox Family app logged in as the other organizer, but Minecraft is still saying my settings don't allow multiplayer.

    Is the member still a minor? If yes, I apologize but the organizer is the only one that can manage.
