Changes to Capture Behaviour?

Has something changed with the default behaviour with captures recently? Previously I could record a clip either by pressing home then x or by saying “Xbox record that” and the clip would be uploaded to my profile and visible in the captures section on the
xbox website. These would then sync to trueachievements.

Now the clip is only visible on my activity feed on xbox.com, which breaks the syncing to trueachievements. On the app, the clips are visible in my captures, so there is clearly a difference between the site and the app. Any ideas on whats changed and how
to resolve it?

Have you changed consoles (eg upgraded to an Xbox One X) or your game capture settings to 4K SDR or HDR? If you selected 4K captures then you now need to manually upload them to Xbox Live. Only 1080p or 720p clips are automatically uploaded to Xbox Live
providing you still have space remaining.

If you want to check if you are near your storage limit on Xbox Live then open Recent Captures and select Show All. There will be a warning if you are near to the limit (not 100% if it displays at 90 or 95%). If you see the warning then select some of the
older clips you no longer want to keep and delete them to free up space on Xbox Live again.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand having questions about captures. There really haven't been any changes, you can

view the support page for information. If you are having issues, try a power cycle on the console. Also clear the persistent storage. To clear the persistent go to settings>devices and streaming>Blu-ray>persistent storage and clear.

The apps I use are the official Xbox iOS apps for iPhone and iPad, developed by MS. I only use TrueAchievements in a browser.

Any chance you might be part of the Xbox Insider ? I remember that the October 2019 update included some changes for capture & share settings, and that they have been tweeking it even further in the insider rings.

I'd like to help doing some tests however I need to know for sure exactly what app you are referring to, can you please specify the proper name of the app? Without the proper name then I'm left wondering if it is made
by Microsoft for Xbox / Windows / mobile phones or is it something TrueAchievements made for their site?
