Changed primary email of Microsoft Account, XBOX Game Pass PC doesn't work anymore

you can't merge accounts itself or fully move the Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft Account, but something that could work for you is changing the primary email address for the Microsoft Account.

My assumption what steps might be required are:

- Change the primary email on the New Unused Xbox Account account to something else (you might need a new MS account/email for that) so that the Wanted email address is no longer attached to a Microsoft Account.

- Change the primary email on the Old Xbox account to the new wanted email address, so that that Wanted email address can be used to sign in to the Xbox main account.

I want to keep my windows account (work emails) intact on my pc - there is no option to remove/change within the xbox beta app, so that account will still be logged in if there is no way to change it.

If that isn't your primary work PC, and it's "just" about the emails of your work account, do the following:

Change your Windows account to a local account to disconnect your account from your work email.

Then connect your Windows account with your Xbox account.

In the account settings, then add your work email as a secondary account. Add your work account to the email app as well.

That way you will have access to your Game Pass subscription and Play Anywhere titles on your PC, and keep access to your work emails and other work related account stuff.

There is a process to change the primary email on a Microsoft account.

First add it as an alias do not make it primary. Make sure it works correctly to sign in. Promote that email to primary and again validate. Last remove the former primary address from the account.

I understand you need help in changing your email.

Just a heads up, if you do not have access to that email anymore as it is no longer active, you can no longer be able to change this email because you cannot pass verification anymore through that unless you have the option to recover that email.

Your account will be stuck with that email for you to use to log in to your Microsoft account but if ever you need to change your password or verify your Microsoft account, it will not matter as long as your security proofs are accessible like your phone number or an alternate email. That primary email on the account will just be a log in email but your proofs can be changed.
