    Changed hard drives


    Hello everyone.

    Recently I swapped my HDD and transferred all the data from the old HDD to the new one and also swapped the names and pathway to be the same path but the xbox game pass app won't find the games installed on it (flight simulator, deep rock galactic and others.)
    Is there a way to force it to find it or do I have to redownload all the games again?

    Hello sorry but we cant help with this type of question here since the console is considered tampered with. Next time if its an issue with the console it should be sent to Xbox repair not self repair. We cant help with self repair here sorry.

    With the current dash update it as simple as plugging the 8Tb drive into the Xbox One and using the copy or move function found in Settings>Storage to move or copy from the 4Tb drive and then deleting content from that disc drive.

    Licenses are tied to the console, not the hard drive. If the hard drive was all that was changed, then a license transfer shouldn't be necessary.

    This is an original Xbox game, so if it was working before a long time ago I would assume here that you've changed consoles or you've changed the hard drive on the console you currently have. If you've changed hard drives, where did you purchase it from? If
    you purchased it from a 3rd party site like eBay or Amazon Marketplace it's likely that the hard drive is a fake and not a genuine Microsoft hard drive. That hard drive can play all of your other games with the exception of original xbox games.
