Changed gamertag on old email but it's not available for use on new email

You can't delete a gamertag/profile. If you pay 800 Points to change the gamertag, the old one will be available for a new profile. You can change the Live ID to another email address (that's free), making the old one available for a new profile.

Sign into your Microsoft account (formerly known as windows live id) on account.live.com

On the OVERVIEW page that says "Account Summary" at the top, click on Add or Change Alias (found under the name and birthday).

On the next page click on Add Alias and then create a new Microsoft email address.

Make the new email the primary alias and then remove the old email that you want to use.

This will then associate your old/unused gamertag to that new email and will make your old email available to use on the different gamertag.

There will be a 30-day waiting period before you can create a new Microsoft account using that removed email address.

great questions angels war77, you will not get banned for making a new xbox live you cannot delete the old one but if you want to re use the email you will have to sign in with it, change the email and then the email will be available to be used on
a different gamertag. Enjoy Gaming !!

If someone else is already using the email address you want for a gamertag, then you cannot re-use the email unless the other person changes their email linked to their gamertag. If you make a new email address, then you can link it to a gamertag you want
if it's available.

You can do that or you can do use the old email address for the new gamertag but you will need to change the email address on the old gamertag, which will make the email address free to use on a new account.
