changed gamertag now can't play with people online

Kindly go to your settings and then “block” the setting that has an arrow in this screenshot and then submit and after that “allow” again and then submit. Restart your device after making the changes.

Thanks for the replies guys. onyx it definitely is a changed gamertag rather than a new one. tried the steps you suggested but no luck, thanks anyway.

Jon i'll have a look at this when i get home, i did think of trying this before but thought i'd ask the wise people on here first.

Were you gold before? If not perhaps you got lucky with a free weekend of service or had a code good for a certain amount of time. That's about all I can think of.

How did that happen then?

I only used the free gamertag change, nowt else?

I now see the problem. When you originally posted, you were listed as a gold member. Now it is silver. You can only access online features when you are a gold member. You will need to purchase a gold membership in order to get back online.
