    "Change your Microsoft Store Region"


    I moved from the UK to Sweden last year and changed my region on both my Xbox One, Series X and the actual Microsoft account but recently started getting an error saying "Change your Microsoft Store Region" whenever I try buying the game pass. I've literally
    done everything I can to fix it but nothing works, I keep getting the error.

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. Just to clarify, the code that you are trying to redeem, did you purchase this online from the Microsoft store? Additionally, If you purchased a code for Xbox Live gold and you are receiving this error, the code
    might be out of your region.

    Also, please double check your account to make sure that everything is in the United States. At this time I would recommend that you try to
    Contact Support so that they may assist you further with this issue.

    Try this:

    • Log into Support.Xbox.com
    • Scroll down, Click on Contact Us
    • Step 1: Click on Ask a Question
    • Step 2 : Select your Product
    • Step 3 : Select your Issue
      • Select – Call me back

    Hi there,

    From what I can tell it seems as though your code is for a different region. The only thing I can think of is to contact the retailer / seller, as you need a US regional code.

    Hello again, in this case you'll need to contact Xbox customer service via chat, so they can check your Gold region, and how you can't make the Ultimate Online purchase after you find out which region of Gold, purchase a 1-month Utimate card, and redeem it to your account.

    Ugh, I’ll have a look at that. Guess I’d have to change store region to US? Would this work as it says 3 months before I can change anything.

    Edit:

    Just checked and was Canadian code but kid might have put code in on US site on PC. This might explain why it thinks wrong region. Is it a problem to purchase game pass in US and use in Canada? Just have to figure out payment on US side.
