Change XBLive account to another Outlook email

Basically You have 2 Hotmail accounts which Hotmail is owned by MS son in essence you have 2 different MS accounts. So when you try and add the second email to your first account it is seeing it as already being a MS account and it is not being able to add
it to that account because it would not know what account to sign into when you go to sign into the account.

So like what XBF Crystal P said.

Your only options are

1. Use a non MS server email (gmail, yahoo, ISP) email that is not already a MS account and add it to your account that you do not use.

2. Create a new MS server email (outlook, Hotmail) email If you go this route though you would want to do it in the process of adding a new email to this account otherwise you would run into the same problem.

Basically you would sign into your account that you want to change the email at account.live.com/addassocid once your verified as the owner of the account you should get a page that gives you a choice of create a new (outlook) email address or add an existing
Non MS account email. You would want to choose a new email under the first option.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for clarity on this Xbox profile inquiry. I can totally see how having multiple accounts could be somewhat tedious. To answer the question, there is no way to merge accounts or to have two accounts set up under the same
sign-in email (what we call a primary alias).

In this instance, I say that you would not be able to use the Hotmail for both, so it would be best to try setting up under an outlook email or change it to your gmail if you don't have any accounts set up with it yet.

is in result of the Domain being used by another Microsoft Account. We recommend creating a new email or try using a 3rd party email that has Not been used by another Microsoft Account.

So if my Only 2 options are

1. Use my Gmail account (barely use it) - Change XBL Account to use Gmail, then could i change it to Outlook
2. Or are you saying Microsoft are forcing me to use GMAIl or Have to create an entire new XBL account against the Outlook email i want?

Is there no way of moving my XBL account over ?

Unfortunately there is not anyway to do this once content is purchased on an account it is permanently attached to that account.

If you are wanting to change the email address associated with the account you can but it can not be an email that is already attached to another MS account. Here is a support link on how to change the email address associated with a MS account.

Keep in mind since you said that your current email is an outlook account if you do add another alias to your account and then remove the outlook account that outlook email will be GONE FOREVER and not be able to get it back so if you still want to use that
outlook email DO NOT remove it from your account. You can still add another email to the account as an alias and use it to sign in with and keep the outlook email on there at the same time but IF you REMOVE the outlook email from the account again it will
be GONE FOREVER.
