Change the e-mail i use to log-in my Xbox Live Gamertag

So what you did was change the sign in e-mail, not the login e-mail. The log in e-mail still uses the old address. You can change his Microsoft Account using the steps here:

support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account

However to do that you will need to use a different e-mail as you can't have 2 gamertags on the same e-mail.

Is it possible to change the main e-mail address associated with my Live ID/gamertag if the e-mail address no longer exists? I did not log into the account for years and now it's gone, so I cannot check the e-mails I would receive for things like password
changes.

And I would REALLY like to change my password, considering it's from 2008..

Hello, there's no way to delete a gamertag, the only thing you can do is change the e-mail on the gamertag to another e-mail. So what you'll have to do is change the e-mail on this account so the e-mail address is free to use on another account. To get instructions
on how to do this you can follow the directions on this page:
support.xbox.com/.../manage-live-id.aspx.

It's telling you that the e-mail address you're trying to use is already linked to a gamertag.



Try logging into the Live site with the e-mail address you're trying to use so you can determine what gamertag you linked to the e-mail address in the past?

Thank you for keeping us updated. That is correct. If you decide to remove the email address from the Microsoft account; it cannot be recovered. Your parents will need to
create a new account in order to use an email address that is not associated with your Xbox profile. The Xbox profile information cannot be transferred from one account to another.
