Change settings without screen display

Hi, my 11 year old son accidentally changed xbox settings to 4k resolution. Now he can only hear the game, but nothing is displayed on screen. How can I change the settings back to HDMI now that there is nothing displayed on the screen? I cannot see the
menu etc. Thanks!

Reset your display settings. Here's how:

If there’s a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.

Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.

Note This will boot your console in a low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset these settings again, press the Menu button, select Settings, and then select Display & sound.

First you will need to turn off your console. Hold down the power button until the system shuts off.

Next hold down the power and eject button simultaneously. You will hear an extra beep. The console should start up in low resolution mode. Where you can then change the setting!

You can reset the console to factory defaults.

With the console turned off, press and hold the Pair Button on the console, then, press the Xbox Power Button to turn on the console.

Keep pressing the Pair Button until you hear a second Beep, then release it.

Your console should be booted into the Troubleshoot menu.

Turn on your controller and select Reset this Xbox > Select Reset and keep my games & apps.
