Change refresh rate from 60hz to 30hz

hi everyone,

I am just wondering how to change the refresh rate on my Xbox one s from 60hz to 30hz as my tv requires it torun 4K please help. Thankyou

30 HZ Feature

I use a 60hz HD and tried the option at 30hz just to see difference in gameplay and it actually reduces the screen tearing but does stutter which can get annoying so just stick to 60hz if your tv is at that refresh rate.

30 HZ Feature

This feature is for older HDTV's with lower refresh rates.

If you have a newer TV, you probably have refresh rates of 60hz, 120hz or 240hz.

if it is indeed 30Hz then it might be an issue since it's not a common refreshrate for TVs, but you can change resolution and frame rate via the steps shown on this link:

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/adjust-display-settings

Hopefully you will be able to adjust the settings for your best experience.

Well first that was an OLD OLD thread as per the forum rules and if you had checked the last forum post on that thrwad its is old

Thats why it is locked

Also should.be noted.that 30hz isnt a normal 4k or 1080p setting

It goes 24 hz (1080p first standard ) 60hx 120 240 480 (480 is only highend and plasma only)

30 is an obscure setting you are going to be hardpressed to find anything that supports it only video.cards csn do that

You will have to connect a laptop or a computer to it to even get anything out of the 4k

You will have to buy a more standard projector

Even cheap ones from wish or ebay does 60hz

I dont think you got a proper tv projector as 30hz is a monitor setting not a standardized tv which has been standardized for years now

30hz you will have alot.of issues especially at 4k

Your eyes will hurt as you would.have motion blur at high resolutions

4k is meant for fast action

Even at 60hz sports dont show.well on 4k

thank you for your reply and clarifying the issues with the other thread.

About the projector, I would say it is a pretty proper Projector as it is a JVC DLA-X500R and it outputs extraordinary at 1080p.

The truth is, that it doesn`t have a "true" 4K output but uses the 4KShift function for 4K media, but it is able to take in 4K content. The problem is that it only processes 4K30Hz content and has as described above a problem with the 4K60Hz.

So it is not a dealbreaker if it doesn`t work, I just assumed there might be an easy fix to this and as the other thread and severall others on the web show I am not the only one with this question.
