Change payment option to Microsoft balance?

When you go to the checkout screen there will be a change payment option. Select it then select your Microsoft balance as payment type

if there is money in you microsoft account make sure you change the payment option to your microsoft balance.

When you are attempting to purchase content, there should be an option to change the payment option. You should then be shown a list of payment options, which should include one labeled "Microsoft Account: $x.xx" Your Microsoft Account balance is essentially
what use to be your Microsoft Points.

At this time, there is no way to pay to a partial amount using your Microsoft Account balance. You must pay in full with whatever payment option that you choose.

Therefore, there is no way to pay say $5 of a $10 DLC using one payment option and then use another option to pay the remaining balance.

I had the option to use ny Microsoft account balance at the point of pre-order, and it even states under the payment options that account balance can be used and is the only payment method charged immediately for pre-orders.

Our problem is changing the amount of balance taken after the order is in place.

Microsoft and Xbox gift cards now go to the same account balance too. They're interchangeable.

Yes it is totally enough to cover payment. When I click "Change", I can change between bank card and Microsoft balance. But then it askes me to add backup payment by bank card and there is no any other option to skip the backup payment or other.
