Change owner of xbox account via microsoft

in 2012 my mum made my xbox account using her Microsoft account as i was too young....I'm now 16 and have my own Microsoft account but still have to sign into this one (being my mums).....and i don't wanna do that anymore i wanna use my account to sign
in however all Microsoft tells me to do is change email but ill still be signing into my mums account........long story short can i give my xbox account (linked on this microsoft account) to a different microsoft account which is my own

How to remove Xbox Profile from Microsoft Account

You can change the Microsoft Account on a profile by

1) Preparing a replacement Microsoft Account at
http://signup.live.com and selecting Make A New Email Account.

2) Change the Microsoft Account on the Xbox 360 via Settings | Account | ->-> Account Security | Change Microsoft Account

There are two ways of doing it, One is moving the xbox live account to a different Microsoft Account. This is only possible via a xbox 360 console via the steps mentioned here:

The other option is that you just change the email address, the Microsoft Account itself will stay the same. To do that see the steps on this link:

Unfortunately nothing can be transferred between accounts. Anything
purchased/achievements earned on an account
remains with the account.

You can change the email address tied to an account in order to change the login, but everything purchased/earned on the account still belongs to the account. If your mother uses her Microsoft account for anything (Windows, Office, any Microsoft product,
etc.) changing the email will change what is uses to login to Microsoft products. Everything is still bound to the account that purchased it.
