Change of Ship-To Address on Xbox Series X Preorder

Hi there,

In the hurry of the Xbox Series X preorder, I mistakenly had my ship-to address as my previous address in a completely different state. I recently moved from WA to CA.

There is no way to change the ship-to address online and all of the customer service numbers direct me to another department where nobody can help me. They're recommending cancelling my order and updating the address, however, since it's a preorder, I will
lose my order completely if I do that. They also suggested calling the courier when it finally ships and change the address. Because it's shipping to a completely different state, I feel like that is a bit risky.

It's hard to believe that Microsoft has no way to update the ship-to address for people who have moved or made a mistake, especially when the time between preorder and delivery is over 6 weeks.

Any thoughts?

Dang. Your situation is wild, at least I'm still in the same city. I can even stake out at the old address if need be lol

I've tweeted a bunch of times, called every department I can, and still can't get through to anyone that can help.

One contact of mine thinks that they clearly over extend on the pre-orders so they're hoping people like us that need to update the address just cancel the orders.

How is it possible that a multi-billion dollar company can't update a ship-to address 6 weeks before the order is set to deliver?

Are you serious? How unprofessional is that? I mean I guess we can get the tracking number and then tell the courier to hold it at the facility for us. I’m in Philadelphia and I’m not moving outside of Philadelphia, just to another home so I guess that works
for me.

I’ve noticed that preorders through Amazon and Target allow a ship to address change.

Just a frustrating situation.

Lol, I’m not going to either.. just might be out $500 if I can’t get my package.
