change of ID

my son originally set up our x box with his gamer name on my microsoft ID. How can I change it to so that I am the primary and set him up under family

Swap Windows Live ID's -

It's kind of confusing to explain, but yes you can. You would have to first change one of the accounts to a different ID in order to free up the one you want to use. Say, your husband's account is Account A with ID A, and yours is Account B with ID B. If
you change ID A to something different it frees up ID A to be used on another account. So you would then change ID B to ID A and then change ID A to ID B.

However, you can only change the WLID every 30 days, so one of the accounts would have to be on a different email for about a month.

Then you need to A change your windowslive id associated with the account then change the region of the windows live id

Windows live id doesnt affect the region of Any xbox account

B create they appropiate windows live id and use that instead

Additionally are you looking to change the associated Gamertag of the e-mail address? This may require a more in-depth process from support staff.
