Change my console preview not working

Notes about the preview builds are released in the preview program dashboard and preview program forums. Sot he information is out there. The current preview includes changes to the store which is why licenses are only working for consoles on the preview
program until the update is released publicly.

Yes. If you purchase the games through the website or app it will work as usual. Only the console store has changed so far.

No. Games that are purchased on a preview program console will only work on a preview program console. If you opt out, you will not have access to the games until the update is released to the public.

I just tried the remote on my console (alpha build) and it brings up the option to turn off the console.

Question - have you changed the batteries in the remote lately? When I had the issue like you described, someone else in the preview mentioned to try fresh batteries. I changed the batteries and it all started working correctly.

If you are part of the subset Alpha Skip Ahead preview that has the new Dashboard, use the Insider Hub and Manage option to change to a lower preview ring, eg Beta, Delta or Omega.

Or opt out of any previews and unenroll the console from any previews and install the General Availability public OS.

Be aware that changing previews or opting out will require a Factory refresh of the console. You will need the account details of any profile that uses the console.
