change method of payment

This is the exact same problem I'm having. For some reason my subscription was put on hold because of some issue with my card. When I go to update the information (Even though nothing has actually changed) the card isn't even listed so I can't change anything.
It asks me to add a new one, but this is the only one I have and it says it's already been added. I can't seem to even cancel the subscription and start over either. I'm at a loss. Hopefully someone knows whats going on.

It turns out the issue relates to a risk block where by if you buy numerous items in a short time scale or have suddenly bought something after a long break then the system automatically lock your account to prevent fraud.

To remove the lock please contact support as above and explain the issue.

Be aware it took 5 days for a resolution so please be patient."

You can go to microsoft.com and log into your xbox account. In the top right corner after you are logged in click your profile picture and go to "microsoft account" directly under your name you should see a section that says "update payment type" or "billing
and subscriptions" then should allow you to choose what credit card you want your subscription to be billed to.

Under the 'Payments methods' I can see a link to add a payment method. And there are no buttons like 'change payment methods'. So, I guess, I should go to 'add a payment method', should I not?

You have to settle your previous payments through a valid method of payment before doing changes in your membership or method of payment.
