Change language (audio, UI, text) of Starfield / NO language option in the game

I finally found a solution after a lot of research & testing, here are the step :

- First be sure to have the Audio files corresponding to your language in : .\Starfield\Data\

- "Starfield - Voices_fr_Patch.ba2"

- "Starfield - Voices_fr01.ba2"

- "Starfield - Voices_fr02.ba2"

I suppose for German it'll be ge

- Personally no files present for me and I need to get them from the internet (not going to tell you here from where)

- Edit the .\Starfield\Starfield.ini (perhaps backup the file before but it's just one entry)

- Replace sResourceEnglishVoiceList=Starfield - Voices01.ba2, Starfield - Voices02.ba2, Starfield - VoicesPatch.ba2

by sResourceEnglishVoiceList=Starfield - Voices_fr01.ba2, Starfield - Voices_fr02.ba2, Starfield - Voices_fr_Patch.ba2

- Execute the game & enjoy

ps : note I'm pretty sure that if Bethesda made a correction update on the Audio files we'll certainly don't receive them. Hope they will implement the Audio change officially on the next near patch.

No, no, no. This won't do anymore. It must be in the power of Microsoft to include "Change Language" in the settings of one of their biggest apps. A lot of people want to play games in another language as they work and "just change your system language everytime you want to do something different" can't be a serious solution. Do something for your customers. Please! People beg you for years for this option.

Did you manage to find a solution on the Bethesda support ? (made some search but nothing concluant).

I have the same issue and can't past my Windows in French as I needed in English for my work.

Really can't understand that an AAA game don't provide this option directly on the game menu, specially when you know that Steam players have it (--> https://game8.co/games/Starfield/archives/424186)

Welcome to Microsoft Xbox Community Forum. I understand that you want to play Starfield in German, but the Xbox App and the game do not have a language option for you.

The possible cause of this issue is that the Xbox App and some games use the system language of Windows as the default language for installation and gameplay. This means that if your Windows is set to English, the Xbox App and Starfield will also be in English. To change the language of Starfield, you need to change the language of Windows in which you stated is not the set up that you want since you want Windows to remain in English.

For Gears 5, kindly try to launch the game then check if Audio option is available. Select it if yest then choose Options. Under Language, select the language you prefer which is German. You can change the audio or text language in Shadow of War by
going to Options > Sound from the main menu. From here, you can change the audio language, textlanguage,
and enable subtitles. Note that you can only make adjustments to the audio and text language from the main menu before entering the game.
