    change IPv4 to IPv6


    How do I change network connection from IPv4 to IPv6 on Xbox Series X console? I just moved and have internet set up and the internet company says that IPv6 is enabled on their end. However, in the Advanced Settings in Xbox Series X I can't delete the IPv4 connection or change to IPv6.

    I had the same issue, i have a router thats both ipv4 and ipv6. I went through and changed things over to ipv6 on my router and then changed it on my console, It wouldn’t connect to the internet, so inset it all back to ipv4 and left it. My laptop however
    would connect when all switched over to ipv6, so now I’m utilizing both ipv4 for my console, and ipv6 for my laptop.

    If your Xbox console has IPv6 connectivity, your Current Network Status will read IPv4 & IPv6. (To see your actual IP and gateway addresses, select Advanced settings.)

    Since in this case, you are only seeing Ipv4 on your console, several home routers support IPv6 but disable it by default. Kindly check the manual for your router, or visit our Networking Hardware Information support forum:

    You may request a call back from Microsoft Xbox Support here at this link: https://support.xbox.com/contact-us

    However, they may answer the same solution I have provided above. I would highly recommend you contact your Internet Service Provider for further assistance on how to configure and enable IPv6 on your network hardware/router.

    Since they have mentioned that iPv6 is enabled on your internet plan but it is possible that Ipv6 is still disabled by default on your router and you need to have it manually configured to enable Ipv6.
