    Change email on xbox gamertag completely.


    Ok I bought my stepson a 1 a few years ago and on my haste to get him started I used my main gmail with all of my personal things in it. I had my own gamertag so there was never a problem being my gamertag is linked to an email just for it. So I ended
    up needing windows computers for the os. So when I started linking the machines devices and emails it gave my stepson access to everything on Google server because of a gamertag. I Just wanna know if I can remove my email now that he has his own emails but
    still allow him to keep the gamertag that he has all his achievements skins and games on.

    Are you sure you were signing in with the same email address that was used with the original gamertag?

    It sounds like you had entered in a completely different email address that was not attached to an xbox profile and it created a new xbox profile for that email address and when you went to change the gamertag for that profile to the one that was attached
    to the other account it added those numbers after it because it was already taken by that other account.

    Like the others have said you can contact xbox support at support.xbox.com/contact-us and give them the gamertag and if they can verify ownership of the account they can give you the email address associated with that gamertag.

    Hi there,

    Can you please elaborate on what you mean by you received an unknown email address?

    Also what are you trying to remove your email from, your gamertag? I believe it's impossible to associate two emails with the one gamertag so you would need to completely change it using an Xbox 360 console:

    support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account-on-xbox-360

    Hope some of that helps, not sure if that's what you're after though.

    Is it a hotmail email? you need to change the email associated with your xbox gamertag, as your ambasador program profile and your xbox gamertag are linked.

    You could try changing the primary email account with the Gamertag. You will need to set him up an email of his own and then change the email address associated with the Xbox Live account. This should release your email from his gamertag, you may need
    to change the family settings first.
