Change email account associated with Xbox account

I want to change emails associated with my Xbox account but without deleting any emails.

Account was made over a decade ago under my mum's email and she uses the email for her personal things so it obviously can't be deleted. I tried to do this years ago but found out the only way possible involves permanently deleting my mum's email. Was wondering if methods have changed and it's possible for me to do now or is it still not possible

Technically transfers cannot be do but you can change the email address associated with a microsoft account.

In order to associate the gamertag with another account you will need to create a whole account with an email address and then do the following to associate the gamertag to that account. How

Gamertags are tied to a Microsoft account, so changing the email address associated with the Microsoft account will also change the email address associated with that gamertag. There's a guide on

It means you already have a Xbox Account associated to your Email you put in for your new account. Try using another email. Or change the email address of the account associated with the Email you are trying to use.
