    Change child's email address


    Hi am trying to change my child's email address. I followed the instructions in an earlier thread on the same issue, i.e., I clicked on the 'Manage my child's profile' in my Microsoft family page. I got sent to the Manage Permission page which was blank
    save for these two sentences

    Both links sends me back to my family page.

    I cannot get my child to change his email via his account as a code is needed to do this and that code is sent to the email which he cannot access. So we are in a catch-22 situation. We need to change his email address because he cannot access his email,
    but need a code sent to this inaccessible email address to change his email!

    Please help. Thank you.

    If your kid knows an old password for the email that can work or if your kid linked a phone number that can also get you to a page to change your password for the email and if your kid was already signed in on the xbox cant you fined the email on the xbox

    Thank you is it possible to change the email address associated with the account? For example- the account is with my email address. Could i change it to my childs email address? Then create another account with my email address and add his account
    to the family?

    Can't add son to Family Plan?!

    When the Xbox asks for the email address connected to the child account put in the parents email address/password instead and it will work (parents email address being the one used to verify the child's account when it was first created or to accept changes
    to the child account), I think this only happens when the parent email address is not the same as the primary account holders email address. I have just had this problem tonight. Xbox support told me of this and it worked first time

    Can't change Microsoft Account

    Off the top of my head, I would have to say it is because you set that email address for the management account for the child account, so if you change the child management account to a different one temp. till you change the primary account email, it should
    let you change the email address then when that is complete you can reset it as the management account again.
