Change Birthday on Account

Hi all,

My son has an Xbox and I wanted to set up an account for him to play. BUT, when I was creating my account I thought the birthdate should be my sons, not mine.

So: now I am entered as a parent, I receive his email asking for permission, but I cannot permit anything because in my account states that I am not old enough…..

When I follow the steps, I see a window with the birthdate, BUT everything is grey and I cannot change it.

Can anyone please help me?

(I thought about deleting the account a creating a new one, BUT my son means that his games will be then also deleted……)

To verify, a child account can't change their birthday, but an adult account CAN change their birthday if they so wish. I CAN change the birthday that's associated with my account, I CAN'T change the birthday associated with my daughter's child account.

Do you know if if a game was bought with an account and the account ist deleted, is it possible to transfer the game to another account?

Hello Olivia, unfortunately if an account is created with the date of birth and it is a minor, it is not possible to change it.

You will have to wait for the account to go through the normal amount of time for it to become an adult.

Hello again, unfortunately it is not possible to transfer a game license to another account.

It should automatically get changed in to an adult account on the birthday or the day after the birthday. But it would be still in family settings.
