Change after November Update - Games not listed unless connected

I started noticing this immediately after the November Update, but didn't bring it here hoping it was a noticeable enough defect its fix would just work its way into the next update.

But, since the November Update, in order to see the list of games that are installed to my system,

My Home XBox One S must be connected online

I have to be explicitly logged into XBox Live even though my account has been assigned to my personal controller since day 1

While disconnected, if I try to launch an installed game by inserting its disc, its installation process is triggered.

I have several games installed directly to the onboard drive and others installed to a USB 3.0 external drive that is always on and always connected.

This set up worked completely fine for 2 years until November.

Does anyone have any information on this?

This was very clearly caused by a forced system update. When is it going to be fixed?

Hello Alaric Baltha,

It happens on all games? (digital and disc based ones).

Can you file a bug for this? This shouldn't be happening as far as I am aware.

For opening a bug:

File a bug from the console by long-pressing the Nexus button and choosing Report-a-Problem.

Yes, this is occurring for all games.

For context, my games match the following use cases :

Xbox One Disc Installed
Xbox 360 Disc Installed
Xbox Marketplace Digital Purchased
Xbox Live "Games With Gold" Installed

None of them are displaying unless and until I take the system Online and provide my Xbox Live password. After I do this, my entire list fills in like normal.

I'll follow your advice and submit a defect report.

Young Portal

Xbox One doesn't have backwards compatibility yet (November 12 when Windows 10 rolls out), unless you're in the preview program. Mass Effect is on the list of debut backwards compatible games, so it will be downloadable after November 12.

@stoner You won't have to wait until November. This dashboard update currently entering beta will roll out in August, unless its changed recently.
