Certain xbox game pass games hard crash my pc on startup

I recently bought xbox game pass and have downloaded some games to try, but in a couple of games (Blair Witch, State of Decay 2) they fail to launch. In fact, they roll the intro studio logos, then without warning my pc hard crashes (shuts off completely) and requires me to unplug and switch off my psu or my pc won't come back on. I've updated my windows version, windows store, and graphics drivers, yet the problem still persists. I have also reinstalled the games and the xbox app to no avail.

My pc specs are as listed in the off chance it's helpful:

Ryzen 3900XT

GTX 1070

32 GB of RAM

2TB NVME SSD

750 watt psu

I don't believe the specs are the issue, but you can never be too sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We recommend accessing Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

If the issue persists with this particular game alone, you can delete it and reinstall it as another way to troubleshoot the issue(Don't worry if you've been saving your progress you won't lose it even after deleting the game because it's linked to your account). In case the issue persists after trying al the steps, it would d be best to get in touch with the developer of the game to check if there iis anything that can be done from their end.

On my XBO Elite, the game crash at startup on Moon studio logo. But after transferring the game on the USB 3 external hard drive everything is just fine.

We understand that you are having issues with Forza Horizon 5, and it keeps on crashing in startup. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

If you already bought the game where you do not need Xbox Game Pass subscription to access the game title, then this game should be playable. We found out that the crash is listed among the known issues from the game support of Forza Horizon 5:

Crashes

Crash - Crashes during free roam, tuning cars, applying upgrades due to memory issue causing loss of tunes, cars, or upgrades
Crash - Game may crash on launch for some players. Please see support article "My Game is Not Launching or is Crashing on PC"
Crash - Game may crash with the error message "The memory could not be read" (Date Updated: 10.04.22)
Crash - PC - Some players are crashing on launch with no error message at startup after series 14 update (Date Updated: 11.22.22)
