    Certain inconsistencies with Privacy & online settings


    I’m not sure if I don’t understand these settings, or if it’s maybe an oversight, but on Game content, the option “Others can see your captures on Xbox Live” may not be working as intended, the purpose I believe it serves it to choose who can see your Watch category. However, on Communication & multiplayer, the option “Others can see your activity feed” if completely blocked, will not only block the access to your activity feed, but also the Watch tab, even if “Others can see your captures on Xbox Live” is set to friends.

    TL;DR You can block people from seeing your captures on the Watch tab of your profile and force people to look at your activity feed for it (if you wanted to for some reason), but you cannot block your activity feed, while allowing them to see your watch tab.

    in family settings everything is allowed, and in privacy and online settings i have an adult account. do you have to wait a certain amount of time before the settings kick in?

    You can change your (son's) privacy settings online. Keep in mind that a child account has certain restrictions placed on it that cannot be changed. See here for instructions and more information:
