    I have been looking into see if certain games like Avowed and South Of Midnight will be available on disc disc at some point, and now I have a query that is Microsoft actually phasing out the disc format?

    Physical discs will no longer be carried by US retailers later this year, and discs will be made on a case by case basis

    If you're interested in preservation, it's best to wait until all the major patches are done so a definitive physical version can be issued. Many discs today are merely a key file, and the game still must be downloaded.

    It sounds like something is wrong with the disc drive reading certain games. Some games are encoded differently. Try cleaning the disc drive. It may improve the disc reading.

    Is it only with 1 certain disc? Or with all of them?

    If it's only with 1 certain disc then:

    Install it to your hard drive, that way when the disc is inserted, the disc doesn't spin.

    It is also only certain games too, i can always load the same games no problem then it wont read others which are in perfect condition, now if it was a problem with the drive it would affect all games not just certain ones which also tells us its a problem
    with certain disc types. We went through this all with support already proving it was not our disc drives but they deleted all the damn threads.
