Certain actions on Xbox Live cause the entire WiFi network to crash

The problem first arose when I was trying to log into GTA V online as per the normal method, however upon trying to access the online mode, the entire network in my house crashes and everything loses WiFi access (phones, tablets, computers, everything hooked
up to the house WiFi), and takes a few moments to connect everything up again. This is the only time (for me), when the connection is entirely lost.

The odd thing is, sometimes I can access the online mode perfectly fine, but sometimes the problem will reoccur during gameplay or it won't at all.

My mum also experiences this problem when doing something specific surrounding Xbox parties, however I'm not entirely sure what the details are, but it has the exact same outcome as what happens when I try to access GTA V online.

I've tried looking for the solution online, however it seems that no one else is having the problem that I have. My NAT type is open and nothing else is wrong with the network connection I have in general.

I have never heard of this problem before the only thing I can suggest to start with is perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Not sure at all why that would cause your network to crash.

 

Well, every night I end up doing a hard reset, as I turn the console off at the plug when I go to sleep. My mum has suggested performing a system wipe, which I'm reluctant to do, but it might end up being my only option.

 

If you say your entire WiFi is going down, then it's probably an issue with your WiFi router, not the Xbox itself.

Check the router manual, if there is a system log that you can read, maybe the router logs the issue and has some troubleshooting hints.

As an entertainment device, the console shouldn't be able to bring down a WiFi network in a way that you describe, and I'd rather guess that the issue is with your WiFi router, that drops the WiFi when it encounters an unexpected error, that just coincidently
happens when you play GTA.
