CenturyLink (ISPs): Download speed test
Hey there Loco!

Well, the best thing that you can do so that your console/router connection is running at the best speeds for gaming would be to set up Port Forwarding.

It's the last option for a bunch of network connection issues and could maybe give you a little boost.

When and if you get a chance, look into our support page entitled
Network Ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox One , see if that affects your speeds, and let us know how that helped.

service alert

i just did a test on teh centurylink site my ping was was 117ms download speed was 4802 kbps and upload was 410kbps but doesnt help much when the numbers changed when i did a second test but from looking at their site on the main page they have a test u
can click different numbers and the 40 mbps woudl be the best bc u get maximum online gaming and movie viewing performance

Suddenly cannot connect to wireless router.

We're using a actiontec PK5000, Centurylink internet with 10m speed, btw. I've checked speedtest and my speed is right. BTW

Hey locomx27,

Thanks for your post! To troubleshoot this, try switching the ethernet cable you are using and also try switching the port that you have plugged into the router. For more troubleshooting, check out this article:

Have tried multiple cables and all ports. Speed is just a little bit slower if I switch to wifi.

I recommend that you contact your internet provider.
It may be that they give you a solution.

My lap tops, iPads and all cell phones all connect and run at 25mb/s down and 1.6mbps up. Ips is brand new and working just fine. Only have issue with xb
