Carbine getting a nerf.

I see the whiners are getting their wishes , don't bother me none , I'm getting stimmed up and running with the c.a.r.

They Nerfed Tactical Cloak

Surprised they haven't cried to nerf the Vorcha Soldier+Reegar Carbine yet. Next to the Infiltrator+any decent sniper rifle, can't think of anything more deadly.

I was a R97 fan in the beginning but switched to the car then to the r101, but now im reconsidering things

that's what I just read a little while ago, I can't say I didn't expect this. 70% of people who play this game use only that gun or the C.A.R

 

I always thought the weapons could of used a few more tweaks personally. They did a decent job at balancing before launch but it could still be better.

 

The carbine was too good in all situations. The G2 and Hemlok will stand a chance now.

I would have preferred to see the other weapons brought up to snuff, rather than the nerfing of a gun whose only fault is being too great. That's lazy and it does cater to whiners. Why couldn't they have adjusted some of the other weapons accordingly to
make them better at CQC, mid range, or at distance. I feel like if you're in a hallway and a guy has a shotty you should probably get got like a sucka. If you are more than 50 meters away from a target and you have a rifle vs a SMG you should win barring a
lucky shot, outside assistance, or gross incompetence. If you are going to tweak all of the weapons anyway I think the others should be made more deadly for their particular combat application. Each weapon should be a shining example of it's class, or why
include it in the first place. If you have two SMGs there shouldn't be a great and crappy one. Two weapons of the same class should offer significant differences that accommodate differing play styles. Maybe one SMG could be more unwieldy and kick like a mule,
but if you hit with 2 or 3 rounds you get a kill. Let the other let you move faster and more silently, and fire smoothly with little recoil at the cost of some damage. I'm not saying my way is the only intelligent way just that I think the "Nerf" approach
should be reconsidered in a world filled with rocket spewing giant robots. This game in particular should be beyond mere nerfing, Titan's have a nuclear ejection option. I think nerfing items in general usually serves to alienate and annoy more loyal players
of a game than it does bring back perceived loss of the legitimacy of the title's online play, or bring back customers who have put the game up on the shelf, citing flawed weapons. Fix the broke things so people who do like them can compete with them don't
break the thing people do like to shut up the whiners.

 

The one and only thing they should do is make the Spitfire LMG legit... as it is, it is a lame weapon, with it's poor accuracy until you've already blown 50 rounds downrange... make it like every other LMG in every other game, and it would be fun... slow
ADS, but accurate for the first 20 to 50 rounds, then out of control... as it is, at 10th Regen it is one of the weapons I will simply never use again...

 

I haven't noticed much of a change with the carbine since the update. It is definitely the best all around gun in the game. The SMG's are ok. I only used the spitfire LMG for challenges. Its decent with the slammer for taking down Titans, but that's about
it lol.

 

You tend to notice the change at longer distance shots. It has enough recoil to give one of the other rifles a chance.
