    Captures & Trimming.


    Hello.

    Myself and a few of my friends are having a hard time trimming 5 minute captures taken from games. Everytime we use the trim feature to make our clips shorter (from minutes to seconds) it would load half way then get stuck. We tried leaving it for 30 minutes
    to see if it we be completed but it didn't even move an inch sadly.

    When we tried trimming shorter clips (that weren't 5 minutes) it worked perfectly fine.

    My xbox is up to date and i play on the original Xbox One.

    Game clip trim feature not working

    Performed full reboot, attempted trimming again but it still fails.

    Xbox live could use a good trimming of kiddies IMHO...

    Captures & Trimming.

    You may need delete the upload studio app and re download it.

    This could fix the issue.

    Clips

    There used to be an app called Upload Studio which has just been removed from the App Store. To trim your videos from your Xbox follow these steps.

    1. First capture your gameplay by pressing your xbox button followed by X.

    2. After a short while your clip will have saved to your recent captures.

    3. To see these captures press your xbox button again and move to Capture & Share.

    4. Go to recent captures and press A, then choose which clip you want to trim and edit.

    5. An option should now appear near bottom of list saying Trim.

    6. It may take several moments to load in your clip.

    7. Move your left analogue to trim your clip from.the start and your right to trim it from the end.

    8. When finished press A to preview clip or X to save.

    How to record gameplay on x series x and then transfer to PC to edit

    best bet is a separate capture card installed in a PC so that the stream can be saved to local storage

    The best capture cards are about $400 for professional 4K quality captures

    then the PC can be used to edit the raw video stream and trim it etc

    What are you meaning the trim? The outside casing on the console? What happens when you are told to reboot the console or factory reset?
    Just guessing but I think OP means Trim game clips in Manage Captures.

    I have had no problem using it.
