Capture button not working, why?

    Capture button not working, why?


    I'm trying to take screenshots during my gameplay and my capture button won't screen shot. Nor does pressing the X button and pressing Y to screenshot either.

    I also tried using my external SSD and that couldn't connect even though I've connected that SSD to my xbox before.

    For something the whole selling point of this damn controller and system, I find it incredibly fustrating that some things just don't work. I swear the 360 generation had far less issues red ring of death aside.

    I'm also using the stupid series s if that helps. And Microsoft, I had to sign in 3 times to even find your stupid "customer support pages".

    Screenshot issues.

    When i open the home button to take a screenshot, it doesn’t work. And when using the capture and share tab it doesn’t work when i click on the capture screenshot button.

    With regards to dying trying to take a capture, and now apparently having a capture button....

    I dont see much of a difference between hitting a capture button, and hitting the big x button, then one more button to either capture screenshot or vid. One small extra button press, it's not that much of a game changer.

    I'm sure, and hoping, there will be more innovation...

    Duh? I'm well aware of that. Did you read my post? Probably not. I stated: Hitting the Xbox button, going to Broadcast/Capture and selecting Capture does not work and hitting Xbox button and hitting Y to take a screenshot
    does not work either as the latter option just exits out of the home screen and gameplay resumes.

    It doesn't work. Its not a timing issue. It doesn't work for any game I have. Its not a game issue.

    For screenshots, I do Home Button + Y, for Video Captures I do Home Button + X. I've tried double tapping the guide button, but it will not work, no matter how long or short I select.

    In order to capture a screenshot, during gameplay press the highlight Xbox button, then you will see the option press y for screenshot, once you've done this it will be uploaded to your console and Xbox live. Go to your recent captures by pressing the highlighted
    Xbox button in the middle of your controller, right bumper click over 2 times to capture and share,go down to recent captures, select it by pressing a button, and here you will see your recent captures. Select one of them and you will see it as an option to
    set as background.
