Can't Verify/Repair Game Files on Xbox PC App

For some reason I don't have the option to verify the integrity of my game files on the Xbox PC app. It just isn't an option on the menu when I go to the "Manage" option in the drop-down menu. This issue applies for all of my games that I have and I'm not sure why, I sincerely don't want to resort to reinstalling my games and I've already tried the repair option through the Windows settings for everything related to the games and Xbox applications as well as checking for update for all of them.

Update: One of my games after restarting my computer and the Xbox app decided to randomly start letting me use the "Verify and Repair" option, but to no avail to my issue that I'm having with it. But my question, still, is why can't I use it for any of my other games that I have installed?

Reset the Xbox PC App to its default settings and clear any issues that you were facing with the app. Please follow the steps to reset the Xbox PC App:

1. Close the Xbox PC App: Make sure the Xbox app is not running in the background. You can check this by looking for the app icon in the system tray (bottom right corner of the screen) and right-clicking to close it if it's running.

2. Uninstall the Xbox PC App:
• Press the Windows key + I on your keyboard to open the Settings app.
• Go to "Apps" or "Apps & features," depending on your Windows version.
• Look for the Xbox app in the list of installed apps.
• Click on the Xbox app and select "Uninstall."

3. Clear App Data (Optional):
• After uninstalling the app, you can also manually delete any remaining app data. Open File Explorer, and in the address bar, type: %localappdata%\Packages
• Look for a folder named something like "Microsoft.XboxApp" or "Microsoft.XboxGameOverlay."
• Delete the folder if it's still there.

4. Reinstall the Xbox PC App:
• To reinstall the Xbox app, open the Microsoft Store app.
• Search for "Xbox" in the search bar.
• Find the Xbox app in the search results and click on it.
• Click the "Install" or "Get" button to reinstall the app.

5. Launch the app and sign in:
• Open the Xbox app after the installation is complete.
• Sign in with your Microsoft account or Xbox Live account.

I did uninstall the app and re install it but still the verify option is not there

While you're waiting for the response from Activision, I recommend that you try to verify the integrity of your game files. To verify and repair game files on the Microsoft Xbox App for PC, follow the steps below:

Open the Microsoft Xbox App and highlight Black Ops 6.

Select the […] button next to the play button your game title and choose Manage.

Select Files, then select Verify and Repair.

You will then receive a pop-up warning you that you will not retain any mods or game saves that are not backed up.

Select Yes to continue, the application will then verify your games files. You can launch the game once complete.

Hi Kim!

What exactly is the error message? Is there an error code?

Try to verify and repair the game.
Open the Xbox app for Windows.
In My Library, select the game title.
Select the More options (…) button and choose Manage.
Select Files and then Verify and repair.

You could also repair and reset it through the PC Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Find the game > Advanced options > Repair/Reset.
