    Can't use my Xbox gift card...


    I redeemed a gift card following the instructions in the card. It showed me that it was redeemed and when I look up something to buy in microsoft store it does not let me use my gift card which I already redeemed. Also, it does not let use it on ingame purchases. The only options available in the checkout are add a credit/debit card or to redeem a gift card, but I already redeemed my gift card. Would appreciate if someone helps out.

    P.S One of my family members are having this issue.

    What do you mean gift card? Do you mean Xbox currency card? You can't use gift cards.

    You can't buy a gift card with a gift card. You would use the funds to buy something through Xbox/Microsoft.

    It depends on what you're trying to buy. The Microsoft account balance is not available for everything. So if you're trying to buy backwards compatible games through the One or a subscription, you would need a credit card or PayPal on file.

    If the gift card or the money is in your Microsoft account or it's an Xbox gift card, unfortunately you can't use it for this purchase :c
