Can’t use my Shock blue wireless controller on iPhone game streaming

Hello, I’ve been having issues with this new feature of streaming games onthe IOS, I just updated my iPhone 8 Plus today in case that was the issue but it was no help, tried following youtube tutorials too but to no avail, checked the setup through xbox and it said everything with the controller was fine, the game streams just fine with my phone but whenever I connect my controller via bluetooth (and it does successfully connect with a solid light and everything) I am still told no controller is detected and the phone does not receive any input from my controller, even though it is connected, help?

Hi,

My Xbox One controller randomly disconnects. I have tried to sync the controller to my console, but the controller continues to flash, even after the console’s “X” has stopped flashing. This is a brand new Sport Blue, wireless controller, so I know its
not the controller. My old controller works fine, so it can’t be the console. Right?

Hi,

The Xbox 360 wireless protocol is not Bluetooth. This is why your 360 controller won't sync to your wireless receiver. PlayStation Dual Shock uses BT, the 360 does not. Only the Xbox One X controller can be connected via Bluetooth.

If you want to use a wireless 360 controller you will need to buy the Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver. Don't buy the Xbox One receiver as it does not support 360 controllers either.

I already sold everything save for my Xbox Elite that used to stay in the bedroom for streaming. I kept one controller and two games that I'll be upgrading.

Ended up getting a little over 850 for everything. 750 after Ebay fees. All is going to Xbox One and extras. Will keep the Xbox Elite for streaming in the bedroom.
