    Why can't I use my MS Account Balance on xbox.com? I travel a lot and want to buy something but it seems MS doesn't want me to. Should I just stop buying if I can't use my account anymore?

    Can't use my Luxemburgish account balance

    Hi, I have an account balance of about 150 € in the Luxemburg region, but I can't buy anything with it as Luxemburg doesn't exist as far as Xbox is concerned. How can I transfer the money to a region that is supported?

    If you are using the website you should know that currency cannot be used there. Only on the console.

    If you are using the console it asks for an alternate payment method just in case you do not have enough funds in your account to cover the purchase. It will use the currency first then, if necessary, switch to the alternate method to cover the balance.

    You can't buy a gift card with funds in your Microsoft account balance. That would be essentially buying a gift card with a gift card. You would need to buy a game or other content in the store and use your account balance as the payment method.

    Unfortunately to purchase Xbox 360 games on your Xbox one you need to have a payment option associated with your account and you should then hopefully be able to use your account credit.

    • You have to have a valid payment option on file to purchase any title.
    • If a game is free, you’re still required to “purchase” it – you just won’t be charged anything for it.
    • The Xbox 360 Marketplace and the Xbox One Store websites use different architecture, so if you have credit but no payment option associated with your account, you won’t be able to use the credit to purchase Xbox 360 titles. You will have to add a payment
      option or purchase the title using an Xbox 360 console.
