    Can't use A button in menus


    This has been happening for a while now. I start an app or a game and it causes the A button to stop working in menus.

    I can hit the XBox button and the menu comes up,But then hitting A doesn't let me make any choices.I can't select any of the recently used programs from the list,or even Home. Restarting the xbox fixes it temporarily but eventually it happens again. I can't even use Report a Problem because I can't choose it once I hold down the XBox button and the menu comes up. Anyone else experience this?

    While the method above can be used to display the dvd menu it still can't be used unless I'm missing something.

    Pausing does indeed bring up the "Player Menu" and I can navigate to the ... then select pop up menu to display the DVD's menu.

    However the Player Menu remains open on top and retains focus so the remote does not control the DVD menu and I can't find a way of closing the Player Menu again??

    I honestly can't comprehend why they would even think of making a "Media" remote with out a dedicated menu button!!

    Hi, first try resetting your console by holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it turns off. Unplug it for a minute. Plug it back in and try again. See if it works properly.

    First off I just want to mention that you should never publish your personal email on the forums as it could make for some uncomfortable situations.

    As for your Xbox button not working properly, have you made sure your controller had the latest update?
