    Can't Update Xbox Game Bar on Windows 11


    My gamebar only shows capture and audio, I'd like to be able to see friends, chats etc. and join parties/chat. I've tried updating through the windows store, windows settings and the xbox app. The xbox app has an option to update it in the setting and when I click on it it will show a notification at the bottom that Xbox Game Bar is installing but nothing happens.

    Using System File Checker in Windows

    CHKDSK

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server...

    1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

    2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

    The system will ask you if you want to run CHKDSK after restarting the system, press Y on your keyboard and then type "Exit" and restart the computer, it will scan in DOS mode.

    I tried the first two and I don't think the third one will help. This is a newly built system with a fresh windows 11 install.

    I did have one security update pending, but installing it and restarting didn't solve the problem.

    Xbox companion, Xbox accessories and Xbox game bar are all installed and updated.

    No notification when i unlock Achievements in Pc

    -windows 11

    -checked the windows store and the game bar doesn't need to be updated

    -checked the app settings to see if the notifications where off, it was all on, should be working but it isn't
