Can't update Privacy and Online Safety Settings - Unexpected Error

Hi, I'm unable to connect to multiplayer servers on my account. I get the following error message:



You cannot play online multiplayer through Xbox Live because of how your account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy & online safety settings on Xbox.com

When I try to update my Privacy and Online Safety Settings at

Sign in to your Microsoft account

I get "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."

This has been the case for a couple of hours now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Twith or mixer on xbox and it says my settings do not let me even though everytihng is lublic except for the stream setting. When it comes to change the stream setting, it says there was an error and i cannot change it.

I guess it´s the internet, reboot the console turning down 10 secs the xbox console botton.

 

My problem isn't on the Xbox console but with using Xbox live to sign in to the windows 10 version of minecraft on my PC. I'm completely unable to change any privacy settings on my account, so I can't log in to a friends realm. It seems to be an issue with
the Family settings - I have access to them on an adult assigned account, but I can't change them. I get the error message "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later"

 

had this problem for over a year, am on PC trying to change settings, get the same error every time. I am also mad that not many people have this problem so it's hard to get a good answer, and not even the Microsoft support can help me.

 

Dear Microsoft the problem with Minecraft W10 described above happens even for adult accounts. Of course I've tried also with child account with required permissions. The same happens in both cases. So it's not related to child's account settings if adult
account cannot connect to the multiplayer servers. Please do something with it.

 

Same here... I got ARK to play with my friend since he has a xbox one. I tried to change the settings by creating a family with my friends account because I the Xbox Settings page wouldn't even open when I wasn't in a family. It just redirected me to the
page where it tells me how to change my accounts privay setting. Please fix this soon Microsoft.

DUDE Im facing the exact same problem. Did you ever figure it out? Ive contacted support and they said its a known bug and they were working on it. I really need to fix this because my realms subscription in just passing away without the owner on it....

 

Honestly, the same thing is happening with me. Im in a microsoft family but in an adult account with the age set to 1980 so there no possible way that it shouldnt work. Microsoft please help

 

Same thing happening for me - for at least half a year now. Should it help in anyway: when attempting to save any changes the first time, the requests results in a 404 Conflict with the Message "Call to Privilege Settings Service resulted in a conflict.".
Trying to save changes after that, won't result in any errors, but no settings are actually changed after reloading the page.

 

This is the same problem that is there with me also. Really wishing that Microsoft will solve it.
