    Can't update Nvidia game ready driver on a newly purchased win 11 laptop.


    I Got a brand new MSI GV15 just today. Unpackaged it, went through the obnoxious windows 11 setup process, and started using the computer right then and there.

    Everything went fine until I tried to use a gaming laptop for games.

    Tried to install the latest driver for my Nvidia Graphics card (GTX 1650) through GeForce Experience as I did with my old windows 10 laptop. It couldn't finish the download.

    Tried again, same thing.

    Tried again after restarting the computer, same thing.

    Tried again after Factory Restoring the BRAND NEW Laptop. Same thing.

    I also tried to run a couple of steam games with this new laptop and after trying to start them up they would just stop, not a crash, not a screen flicker, they just wouldn't start up.

    I assumed it was due to the Nvidia Graphics Driver not being up to date, but I can't update that either.

    Some Help would be appreciated.

    Windows 11. Latest version (22H2)

    MSI GV15 Ultra Thin

    Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 (4GB RAM)

    Intel Core i5-11400H (6 Cores, 12 threads) @2.70 GHz

    8 GB of RAM @3200 Clock speed

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

    I'm glad to help you.

    Normally, newly bought laptops will not crash frequently when playing games.

    However, there is still a very small probability that you will buy a defective laptop, and there may be a product quality problem.

    From your current description, I can preliminarily judge that after you start the game, the system sets your gpu as an Intel integrated graphics card by default, rather than an independent gpu GTX1650, which causes your computer to crash frequently.

    You can first try the following scheme to switch your laptop's gpu to an independent gpu(GTX1650).

    Press the Windows + X key simultaneously.

    Click on Device Manager and expand Display adapters.

    Here, right-click on the intel integrated graphics driver.

    Then click on Disable device.

    Once the integrated graphics card is disabled, Windows will automatically switch the gpu to gtx1650.

    Reboot your pc and play your games again.

    I am trying to donwload the latest nvidia driver, but i get errors like: "no compatible graphics driver found" and "not compatible windows version"

    Wait the m gpu were mobile are you using a laptop?

    Laptop drivers are by your laptop manufacturer only

    Nvidia drivers aren't supported by nvidia they are custom you would have to goto your laptop manufacturer
