Can't Update My Privacy and Online Settings

Hello Everyone,

I need some help on how to update my privacy settings for the xbox. I just got the gamepass and got the game Forza Horizon 4. The game gifted me cars and a few other things, but I can't accept the gifts. So then I tried to see what was happening and why I couldn't accept the gift and people said go change your privacy settings so this is what I did:
1. Went to xbox.com
2. Then went to Xbox settings
3. Selected Privacy & and online safety.
But when I went to select that it just created a new tab of the same page. It just keeps reverting back to the xbox settings page. I am not in a family group with no restricitions that I know of. I am just very disapponted that I get the gamepass and it gives me a few extra rewards for the game and I can't use them. So if any can help that would be great!

Note: I am using the xbox app on a pc and downloading the game on my pc, I do not own a xbox.

I understand your question,

this error can happen due to the system not identifying the account maturity.

Try to create a family group at family.microsoft.com > add your account as a contributor so that all adult account permissions will be available.

After doing this, repeat the privacy setting process.

Just to be sure, were all your settings set to allow previously?

Firstly, are you on a child account? (Microsoft automatically assign any account with the age set to below 21 years as a child account). If you're on a child account, you'll need a parent (adult) account in order to change your privacy settings.

The parent account will need to create a family group and add you as a "Member" while they are the "Organiser" in order to change your settings. Here's a detailed explanation of how to do that https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil....

Refer to the "Manage settings on Xbox.com" tab, underneath it you'll find how to manage your privacy settings on an Adult or Child account.
