Can't unmute friend... PLEASE HELP!

Was playing local yesterday and muted friend so I wouldn't get echo. Now I cannot unmute at all. Either in party or by going to profile and clicking unmute.

Tried:

Restarting

Hard restart

Xbox app on mobile

Not sure If it is a problem with Xbox live or what. Friend nor I are banned or anything..please help!! This is frustrating!!

I can't hear my friend in parties. I have tried unmuting him from his game card but nothing works, I cant unmute my friend please help!!!!

Yeah, its killing me at the moment. Iv got 4 friends permanently muted -_-

Xbox Live service status page is showing party's as experiencing an issue at the moment. This may possibly be causing your problem can you please wait until this to be resolved to see if resolves your issue.

 

I'm currently having the same problem... can't unmute my wife's account....
