Can't turn on/off benq projector with kinect

It won't recognize my BenQ gp20 projector. It will not power it up or down. It will control the volume though.

Xbox One with Optoma HD141X Projector

I replaced a BenQ projector with a Optoma HD141X and Xbox one will turn it off but not on. I tried all of the codes listed in the Xbox One for Optoma devices and several would turn it off but not on. I can find codes for all of my other devices that work
except the Optoma HD141X. Does Xbox One have a way for it to learn codes or use the link command over HDMI to control devices?

Let's try following these steps to get the TV power settings up and running:

• Press menu on your Xbox One controller and then select 'Settings'.
• Within the settings screen, select 'TV & OneGuide', followed by 'Device control'.
  
• On the 'Device control' screen, select TV.
• If you haven't set up your projector yet, I suggest trying the remote code '2563' which may work. After setting that up, make sure you select 'Send power off twice' under the 'Advanced' options. That setting is useful for some projectors.
  

Try that out and let us know how it goes!

 

Hey Mister Beep,

this code "2563" isn't working even for volume control.

In "device power options" under sections "WHEN XBOX TURNS ON/OFF, SEND" I can choose only "Nothing" or "Toggle" when using "2563" code.

Do you have any other idea on remote code for this?

 

Here are some additional remote codes you can try out:

• 3513
• 2218

Make sure when you're in the 'Device control' screen from the 'TV & OneGuide' settings, you select 'TV' under the devices group, and then under 'Advanced' you would want to toggle 'Send power off twice'.

If the remote codes above don't do the trick, I would switch back to the code you were using originally. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee power off commands will work with every TV/Projector, but please let us know how it goes.

code 3513 worked for me. (projector BenQ gp20)

I just had to set:

WHEN XBOX TURNS ON/OFF, SEND to TOGGLE (it was NOTHING by default)

also with marked Send power off twice
