    Can't start Tetris Effect: Connected (PC)


    When I start Tetris Effect: Connected, I get a loading screen, with the tetramino spinning on the bottom right. Suddenly, it stops spinning, the game freezes, and I have to terminate the process in windows task manager.

    When I do it, I get a Game UI screen that says something like: "Which do you want to use? The data in the store is different than the data on this device". Then I have to choose either "Data in this device (older)" or "Data on the cloud (more recent)". However,
    no matter what option I choose, if I start the game again, it keeps freezing.

    I managed to find on my pc where the game was stored. After deleting "SystemAppData" folder I managed to start the game again, however my multiplayer progress was gone. After restoring that folder, the issues came back.

    I think it's important to mention that the last time I played the game (like 5 hours ago), I got kicked out of a multiplayer match due to a connection loss.

    Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

    Yes. Some, though limited, through PC Game Pass there are some select titles available with VR support such as No Man's Sky, and Tetris Effect.

    I see, please try this Noah

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

    Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

    Then do this:

    Uninstall Tetris app, next you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command:

    In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" (without the "")

    Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

    Yeah, this is only happening on Tetris. I have tried reinstalling and running it as admin. As well as changing the Service App settings you listed. Unfortunately, still having the same issue.

    Just to give you an idea of what is going on, here is a screenshot of where it gets stuck. The application launches just can't get past signing in, pretty weird.

    Is this issue happening only with tetris?

    May I know if you tried installing it on another PC just to test if everything's working as usual?
    This helps us to isolate the issue

    In the meantime try this:

    Press Windows button and type Services

    On Services App from the list of results, press right-click and run it as administrator

    Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

    IP Helper
    Xbox Live Auth Manager
    Xbox Live Game Save
    Xbox Live Networking Service
    Gaming Services

    And do this with each of the services listed above:

    Right-click over the service and select Properties.
    Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic (if not, change it to automatic)
    If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services

    Restart your PC
