Can't Start Repair

    Can't Start Repair


    I have been trying to start a repair online ,on Edge Browser, on Android 13 Edge Browser, on chrome with the same issues .

    Is anyone else aware of this issue and able to advise?

    My Series X which won't turn on , never had an issue or a heat issue as it sits on a counter with no restrictions.

    But the interface for creating a repair order at account.microsoft.com is not working properly. I reach the stage where it asks for an address, and then it dies with a fairly useless error message "Sorry, something went wrong.We’re not sure what happened, but refreshing the page may help, or trying again in a little while."

    I have my device registered, and still under warranty until 11/2023.

    I have called support 6 times , each time the agent said they can't start the repair as the see the same issue . Each time they say they will call me back and email an update; never got a call or an email.

    I have a case number and according to the last call , each time the agent never " escalated" the case . And an order was never started by Customer Service.

    I believe you should be able to initiate a repair if you login to your account online and go through troubleshooting. Thats how I started up my repair.

    Im sorry to hear that its not working for you. When i did my warranty check i did have problems getting to the correct section to start the repair and after reaching out to microsoft customer support on twitter i was given that link to try and it worked
    for me. There must be an issue with the website causing it to give that error? If you are on twitter it may be worth dropping them a message to see if they can help you... they were very helpful when i messaged them. I hope you manage to get it all sorted
