Can't start console with controller

Hi! I can't start my Xbox one X console with my controller. I have to start the console with the button on the console. After that, everything is working OK. Anything I done wrong?

Problems when turning on.

Hi Jamie unfortunately I can't directly help you with resolving your issue however next time you console starts with a black screen before restarting the console try pressing and releasing LT , RT & Y buttons all together on the controller to force the dashboard
to refresh and hopefully get your dashboard back without needing to restart the console.

Xbox won't load anything and freezes if I do something

when I start up my Xbox and I try and click on something my console freezes straight away with no error code and I my controller stops working apart from the home button but I can't really do anything. This has only just started since the latest insider

As blackhalk123 has already said you may need to start looking at your A/V cable/console connection, In general if your console can't output a signal to the display device it does indeed indicate something wrong with the cable/connection or even the port
on the console and your controllers won't connect.

Will the console power on if you press the guide button on the controller ? if it does you could try resetting the display settings, power the console on using the guide button, as the console starts up press and hold Y and the right trigger on the controller
until the console restarts again.

Same issues, the black out on start up has stopped now and the live TV is on start up but I have almost no control? Home button works but can't select anything, home button held down to shut down works and I can select, turn console off or turn controller
off???

My wireless xbox controller will turn my xbox console (xbox one s) on, but will not operate the console after it is on. This started as I was playing and walked away from the xbox console with the controller in my hand. I cannot get the controller to connect to, or control, the xbox either wirelessly or with a USB-C cable attached. Also, this controller will not turn the console off. This controller may be 8-12 weeks old. I have a second controller that will turn on, operate and turn off the console, but it will not hold the horizontal so I can't use it. (This is at least the 3rd or 4th controller I've had to buy.)

Doesn't help.. I've tried everything on there my console is turning on and when I press the connect button the lights go in a circle like there supposed to I then push the controller connect button. they both blink like its trying to connect but don't! I
can't even get the console to start up powers on but won't even start up! Is there a way to reset the console?
