    Can't split payment on Xbox One. Can't delete old payment methods as well


    I lost my card I have been using for all my Xbox One payments. I have entered the new card (same company different number & exp date) However, two issues are now apparent after entering the new card. Frist, I can no longer split my payments (using store
    credit and the remaining balance on the card). I had been able to do this with the previous card but it no longer works. I have even entered another credit card and it too will not split (and I have used that card on other services to split payment). Secondly,
    I wish to delete the old card but either using the Xbox One option or the web account manager I am not able to delete the old card. I understand it may be an issue that it is my primary card (associated with the account) but, I do not see a way to change the
    primary account card to the new card. Any help is appreciated?

    Hey there! You can't delete you last payment method off since you have an active subscription on right now. Try this: add the new card separately and then try to delete the old one. Does this work?

    "GT" - you can't. And it's a failure with Microsoft that you can't do so. Short of starting anew -- new WLID, new GT -- and abandoning your old WLID/old GT and deleting the WLID account associated with it -- will there at least no longer be any publicly
    associated link between the old GT and the old billing data.



    Microsoft's PROCESS should be updated that if a CCARD is "(Removed)" that it should no longer be useable for account verification / access purposes Again, Microsoft's failure.

    Splitting payment between credit balance and card

    Please don't bump old threads. Also, make sure you are making the purchase on your console. There is content that cannot be purchased using the split payment method, so not everything will work that way as well.

    Can i use a $20 xbox gift card from platforms such as Amazon, redeem it on the microsoft store and use it to buy minecraft java and bedrock edition on the microsoft/xbox store?

    Yes, he can use split payment. Just make sure that the Microsoft balance matches his Microsoft Store region, physical location, and payment method.

    As I have checked, the Microsoft balance is for SG, he needs to be physically located in SG, as well as his payment method needs to be from SG as well.
